Certificate

The Certificate policy allows selecting a certificate to be installed by default on the device. A policy can contain several certificate configurations, but each certificate only once.

Prerequisites #

• The certificate has previously been uploaded under Settings → Certificates (see Certificate management →).
• Only certificates of type PKCS1, i.e. certificates without a private key (e.g. crt, cer), can be selected. PKCS#12 files (pfx/p12) are not listed.
• On Samsung Knox devices, the certificate is only installed if the policy also contains an enabled Passcode configuration. If it is missing or disabled, the form displays a corresponding notice.

Configuration #

In the Add Certificate dialog, Select next to the Certificate field in the General section opens the Select a certificate dialog. Certificates already used in another certificate configuration of the same policy are hidden there. The field is mandatory; Save only becomes active once a certificate has been selected. The name of the configuration is taken automatically from the name of the certificate.
