Restrictions

Introduction #

Targeted restriction of device and app features increase security when using Android devices and can optimize device usage by providing more focus. Controlling device settings and restricting access also prevents third-party apps from accessing corporate data and resources. Restriction availability may vary, depending on device manufacturer and existing OS version. Some of the features listed here are designed exclusively for Samsung Knox devices or minimum Android versions.

Applying restrictions to Android devices #

1. In the Relution portal, navigate to Devices > Policies and click Add.
2. Create an Android policy and assign a name. Click on Save.
3. After clicking Add, select Restrictions option and proceed to Add Details.
4. Save the configuration after selecting the desired options and publish the current version of the policy
5. To apply the policy to Android devices, add the desired devices using the Devices with this policy tab. The selected restrictions will then be automatically executed on the devices.
