Enroll devices via NFC
On this page
With the Relution Agent, Android Enterprise devices can be enrolled easily via NFC (Near Field Communication).
Both devices must support NFC, and the source device (enrollment device) must already be enrolled in Relution.
The target device can only be enrolled as Fully Managed or with a Personal Profile. Android Work Profile or Legacy enrollment is not possible.
Setup
In Relution, an enrollment is created under
Devices→Enrollmentsfor the platform Android Enterprise with the type Managed device or Personal profile (not Work profile).Tip: If several devices are to be enrolled one after the other, Multi-use enrollment is enabled in the Expiration section and a late date is selected under Valid until. The Expiration section is missing if Using Android’s built-in app (enforces multi-use) has been selected under Authentication, see Enrollment options →.
Currently, no Wi-Fi profile may be included during NFC enrollment. On the enrollment (source) device, the Relution Agent App is opened.
The following path is opened:
Menu→Device information→Share NFC enrollmentScan enrollment is tapped.
The QR code of the previously created enrollment is scanned.
The device is now ready to enroll other devices via NFC. Alternatively, an NFC tag can be written with the enrollment information.
The target device must be reset and on the initial setup screen.
The carrier device or NFC tag is held close to the target device, and the instructions on the target device are followed.
