Enroll devices without camera
On this page
Some Android devices do not have a camera or a functioning QR code scanner. These devices can still be enrolled in Relution as fully managed devices using a DPC Identifier code (Device Policy Controller Identifier).
Enroll devices without camera/ QR code
In a created enrollment, the DPC identifier is displayed under Enrollment information in the Using DPC identifier tab (the highlighted code above Enrollment process). It must not be confused with the Enrollment code field under Details. The same tab is also available in the QR code dialog of the enrollment. The DPC identifier is used as follows:
- The devices are reset to factory settings.
- The initial device setup is started and the instructions are followed.
- If the devices ask for the Google account credentials, the code
afw#setupis entered as the username. - If the devices ask for the DPC identifier, the corresponding code is entered.
- The instructions are followed to set up the managed devices. After setup, the device is fully enrolled in Relution – just like using the QR code method.
