Google Play Store does not show any apps
Google Play Store does not show any apps
On Android Enterprise devices, it may happen that the Google Play Store appears empty or does not display any apps. This typically occurs if certain configurations or approvals in the Managed Google Play Store or Relution are missing. Here’s a step-by-step guide to fix this issue:
Step 1: Find and approve the app in the Managed Google Play Store
Before an app can appear on a device, it needs to be found and approved in the Managed Google Play Store.
- Open a web browser and navigate to https://play.google.com/work.
- Search for the desired app that is not showing on the device.
- Approve the app to make it available within your organization.
Step 2: Add the approved app to a collection in Relution
After the app has been approved, it needs to be added to an app collection in Relution. Steps in the Relution Portal:
- Log in to the Relution Portal.
- In the Manage App configuration, add it.
- Select Managed Google Play Store App (Android Enterprise).
- Select Manage Apps in the side menu.
- Create a collection or select an existing one.
- Select the app that was just approved in the Managed Google Play Store and add it to the collection.
Step 3: Set the app to “available” in a policy
To ensure the app is visible on devices, it must be set to “available” within the appropriate Android Enterprise policy in Relution.. This ensures the app appears on assigned devices. Steps:
- In the Relution Portal, navigate to the Android Enterprise Policy.
- Select “Manage Apps”.
- Find the app in the list and ensure its status is set to “available”.
Once all steps are completed, the app should appear in the Google Play Store on the device and be available for installation.
