Actions and devicegroups
On this page
Introduction
With Relution 5.22, it is possible to trigger actions through membership in device groups in addition to policies. This function will replace the rules in the medium term. Old sets of rules will not be transferred to the new functionality.
Device groups function independently of the platform. For this reason, it may be that individual actions cannot be used on certain devices.
The basic functionality of device groups is explained here: Device groups →
Basics
- actions can be applied either when entering, leaving or in both cases on the corresponding device
- the action can be sent to the device immediately or with a time delay.
- three different action types are available:
- Perform device action
- Send notification
- Rename device
Configuration
The three points explained in the previous step must be configured. The individual actions are then executed for each device when the group membership is changed.
These configurations are directly valid and are applied according to the settings.
