Manual add devices to DEP
Introduction
Originally, only Apple devices purchased directly from Apple or from a trusted reseller could be added to Apple School/Business Manager. If devices were obtained through other sources, they could not be automatically enrolled in Relution through Apple DEP.
Meanwhile, Apple allows iOS and tvOS devices to be manually added to Apple School/Business Manager using Apple Configurator. This allows all the benefits of automatic enrollment via DEP to be enjoyed, regardless of where the devices were purchased. macOS devices must still be mandatorily procured from an authorized reseller to enjoy the benefits of automatic enrollment via DEP.
