QR code cannot be scanned

Introduction

On iOS devices, it can happen that in the course of an applied policy configuration with ‘app compliance’, the QR code scanner of the camera is disabled. The camera recognizes an existing QR code, but does not offer the link to open it in the browser. The problem only occurs in conjunction with a positive list in the App Conformance configuration.

How To

The app or plugin must be manually added to the positive list of app compliance.

  1. Go to the configuration of the corresponding policy.
  2. Create a new positive list entry for add app manually.
  3. You can choose the name freely. As internal name enter com.apple.barcodesupport.
  4. Save and publish the policy.
