App Conformance

Introduction

The policy configuration App Conformance defines, which app should be available on an iOS device and which should not. In Relution, it is possible to configure App Conformance in two different ways.

All apps in the following list are not allowed

This is a classic blocklist. All apps on this list will be hidden on iOS devices and users will not be able to access them. The apps are not uninstalled. For example, individual system apps or apps from the public App Store that are not allowed to be used on the devices can be stored here.

Allow all apps in the following list

This is the classic Positive list (Allowlist). All apps, that are stored here can be installed on iOS devices, are subsequently visible to users and can be used.

There are three more options that can be configured:

Add all required apps

All apps that are stored on the Required apps list are automatically added to the Positive list. This saves effort and avoids errors.

Add all auto-deploys

All apps that are stored in the Auto Deployments for corresponding user accounts or groups are automatically added to the Positive List. This saves effort and avoids errors.

  • **Block weblinks
All web links are blocked - regardless of whether they were brought to the iOS devices via a policy or an action.

  • Allow full screen web links.
Only web links configured for full screen mode will be displayed.

  • Allow all web links.
All web links will be allowed. The Safari Browser is automatically enabled here.

Required Apps

All apps on this list are automatically installed and users cannot remove them from iOS devices. If an app on this list has not been installed, the corresponding device will be displayed as non-compliant in the device inventory. The Relution Agent cannot be added to this list. It is automatically installed on devices upon enrollment.
