Fonts

With Relution it is possible to distribute fonts to iOS and macOS devices via a policy.
This font is then available in supported apps such as Keynote.
The font cannot be set as a system font and is only selectable in apps.

Requirements

A font in the format otf or ttf (other formats such as ttc or woff are not supported)
A policy with the font configuration
Apps that allow the selection of an installed font, e.g. Keynote

Managing Fonts

Fonts are managed centrally under Settings → Fonts before they can be assigned to a policy.

Uploading a Font

Use Add to upload a new font. A name (max. 255 characters) and the font file in otf or ttf format are required.

Visibility (Scope)

A font’s visibility is determined automatically by the organization it was created in — it cannot be selected manually:

Global: Created in the global organization → available in all organizations.
Local: Created in a regular organization → only available there.

The overview list also shows the scope, creation/modification date, and who made the change, and can be exported to CSV.

Only fonts belonging to the organization can be downloaded — fonts inherited from other organizations via global scope cannot be downloaded.

Deleting

Fonts can be deleted individually or via multi-select; editing an existing font is not possible.

Deletion does not check whether the font is still in use by a policy. Deleting a font that is still in use causes a compliance violation on affected devices the next time the configuration is transferred.

Usage

The desired font can be uploaded in Relution under Home → Settings → Fonts → Add.
In addition, a name must be given to the font.
Afterwards, it must be added to an iOS or macOS policy in the Font configuration.
