Mathematical Settings #

Starting with version 26.1.0, Relution provides the new “Mathematical Settings” configuration for devices running iOS 18+.

This policy allows you to centrally manage the functions and modes of the Apple Calculator app and adapt them to educational or organizational requirements.

Settings for the Apple Calculator App #

Basic Mode

• Add Square Root

  Note: Adds a square root button to the basic calculator by replacing the “+/-” button. By default, the square root function is only available in scientific mode. This option makes the square root accessible even if scientific mode is restricted.

Math Notes Mode

• Enable / Disable

  Note: Determines whether Math Notes mode can be used within the Calculator app.

Scientific Mode

• Enable / Disable

  Note: Specifies whether the scientific mode of the Calculator app is available.

Global Calculator Input Options

• Enable Unit Conversion

  Note: Allows the use of the built-in unit conversion feature within the app.

System Behavior #

Enable Keyboard Suggestions

• Enable / Disable

  Note: Controls whether keyboard suggestions automatically display mathematical solutions.

Enable Math Notes in Other Apps

• Enable / Disable

  Note: Determines whether the “Math Notes” feature can also be used in other apps (e.g., Notes).
