Calendar (CalDAV)

The Calendar configuration also hands a CalDAV account to the native Calendar app on macOS devices via a configuration profile. The configuration fields and the server-side requirement — automatic discovery according to RFC 6764 through a redirect at /.well-known/caldav — are identical to iOS.

Configuration and server-side requirement #

The full description of the configuration fields, of automatic discovery via /.well-known and of the server-side setup of the redirect including troubleshooting is documented in the iOS article and applies to macOS unchanged:

Note in particular that the redirect must point to an https:// address without an internal port, and that the Principal URL — if set — has to be given as a plain path.

macOS specifics #

On macOS, Relution delivers the configuration via the user channel. The CalDAV account is therefore installed in the profile of the logged-in user and not device-wide. If the device does not support a user channel, the configuration is delivered via the device channel.
