Custom Device Properties

Under Settings → Custom Device Properties, five freely nameable free-text fields (Custom 1–5) are available, letting you enrich devices with your own information – for example a cost center, location, or included accessories.

Enabling and Naming Fields

Each of the five fields has its own on/off toggle and an editable label. The label is only used for display in the portal; disabling a field hides it again in all views.

There are no field types (number, date, dropdown, etc.) – all five fields are plain free-text fields.

Usage

Enabled fields are available in the following places:

  • Device detail view: a dedicated “Custom Properties” card, with values directly editable.
  • Device edit form: one text input per enabled field.
  • Inventory list: as optional columns that can be shown.
  • CSV import/export of devices and auto-enrollments.
  • Dynamic device groups: as a filter criterion, using the label configured here as the display name.
