Lesson Settings

Under Settings → Education → Lesson settings, the time frame within which teachers can start lessons via the Teacher App → is defined. This page is only visible with an Education or Free license.

The Lesson settings permission in the Settings area is required: Read to view, Update to change. Without Update, the page is read-only. Added, edited and deleted lesson schedules only take effect once the page is saved via Save.

Lesson Schedules

This section contains the list of lesson schedules with Name, Description, Start time, and End time. Name is required, Description is optional. Lesson schedules must not overlap, which also applies when editing. A start time that falls exactly on the end of another lesson schedule also counts as an overlap, so at least one minute of spacing is required. The end time must be later than the start time.

By default, the list is pre-filled with 14 lesson schedules (1. Stunde to 14. Stunde, 07:45 to 21:05), Monday to Friday are set as lesson days, the time zone is UTC and the timetable limitation is switched off.

General Settings

  • Override system wide settings: Only visible for tenant organizations. Allows deviating from the system-wide lesson settings. If the option is switched off, all fields are locked and lesson schedules can neither be added nor edited; changes in the system organization are applied automatically. When switching back to the system-wide settings, the values of the system organization apply again.
  • Time zone: The time zone the configured lesson schedules refer to.
  • Limit lesson to timetable: When enabled, lessons can only be started in the Teacher App on the selected Lesson Days, no earlier than the start of the first lesson schedule and with a planned end time no later than the end of the last lesson schedule. Breaks between individual lesson schedules are not blocked.
    • Lesson Days: Becomes required once the limitation above is enabled. Defines on which weekdays lessons may take place.

Access to Profile Images for Apple Education Configurations

Controls whether Relution may access users’ profile images to supply Shared iPad login and Apple Classroom with the stored profile images. Enabled by default. When set to Disabled, Relution does not serve profile images to Shared iPad and Apple Classroom.

Profile images are only served to devices with an Apple Education configuration, and only for users who are members of a class in this configuration.
